Chinese American Chemical Society (CACS) is a non-political and non-profit professional organization. The purpose of CACS is to encourage the advancement of chemistry and chemical engineering sciences and technologies in all branches, to improve the qualification and occupational opportunities of its members, to facilitate professional contacts, and to promote interactions with other scientific communities. CACS is the only Chinese professional organization that is officially recognized by ACS and AICheE.

CACS fulfils its purposes through 4-time-a-year activities in conjunction with ACS and AIChE annual meetings, and through wide ranged activities that are organized by the local chapters. Dr. Marinda Li Wu, a candidate for the ACS Presidency

Dear CACS Members and Friends:
As you know, one of our own CACS Board colleagues, Dr. Marinda Li Wu, was elected as one of two candidates to run for President of the American Chemical Society at the national ACS Council meeting in Anaheim on March 30 this year. This is indeed historic, since Marinda was not only the first Asian American ever elected to the ACS Board of Directors, but also is now the first Asian American to run for President in ACS's 135 year history.   (To read more details click here)
