CACS Opens Nominations for 2026 National Awards

The Chinese American Chemical Society (CACS) is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for its 2026 National Awards. These prestigious honors recognize individuals whose achievements, leadership, and service have advanced the fields of chemistry and chemical engineering while strengthening the scientific community.
Outstanding Achievement Award
The Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes an exceptional scholar and leader whose work has made a significant impact on their field through research, innovation, publications, presentations, patents, leadership, or other distinguished accomplishments. The recipient will be invited to deliver a plenary speech during the CACS Annual Symposium in Fall 2026 and will receive a special CACS certificate and honorary lifetime membership.
Extraordinary Service Award
The Extraordinary Service Award honors a CACS member or Friend of CACS who has demonstrated outstanding long-term dedication to the Society and has made significant contributions to promoting and advancing CACS. The recipient will receive a special CACS certificate and honorary lifetime membership.
Rising Star Award
The Rising Star Award recognizes a current CACS member who is within ten years of earning their highest degree and has already demonstrated significant accomplishments in academia or industry. The recipient will have the opportunity to give a presentation during the CACS Annual Symposium in Fall 2026 and will receive a special CACS certificate, honorary lifetime membership, and a $500 honorarium.
Nomination Process
Nomination packages should not exceed five pages and must include:
A cover letter summarizing the nominee's accomplishments and qualifications
Contact information for the nominee
Submission of a curriculum vitae (CV) is highly encouraged.
Candidates may be nominated by a CACS local chapter, a CACS member, or through self-nomination.
